التراث المتوسطي المخطوط، تنوع استنائي يجب الحفاظ عليه(14 و16 ديسمبر 2009، عنابة،الجزائر)تناقل والحفاظ على التراث المتوسطي المخطوط، ورشة وندوة مانوميد.For centuries a large part of the human memory has been transmitted through a written heritage supported by different forms, and written in different scripts that are at risk of disappearing: manuscripts, archives, epigraphs, numismatics... Parchment and paper are particularly exposed to the irreversible impacts of wear and tear of time and their use or non-use by man: trafficking, continuous handling and mishandling, disinterest, and dismissal in favor of other materials, etc. This international symposium on “Safeguarding and transmitting Mediterranean written heritage” is organised on 14-16 December 2009 in Annaba by Bled el Anneb Association, Algerian partner of the Manumed project, in collaboration with Badji Mokhtar University Annaba. The specific objective of the event is the safeguarding of Algerian and Mediterranean written heritage: to this end, a number of experts and professionals in the field will meet in order to create a network for safeguarding and transmitting this precious historic and stimulating historical research. At the same occasion, the Virtual Library developed by the MANUMED project will be presented and participants introduced to data entering and retrieval procedures. The Virtual Library will be accessible for consultation and study through the Internet. An itinerant exhibition on Mediterranean written heritage will also be inaugurated on 14 December 3.30 p.m. at “Centre Culturel Universitaire (former Lycée Pierre et Marie Curie)” in Annaba.
