With summer behind us (at least in Brussels) we are back to work and looking ahead to an intense and intensive phase of our activities. The first event on our agenda will be the thematic workshop “Heritage: a model for sustainable development” which embraces the important issue of sustainable development of historic towns through the prism of the energy performance of existing buildings. Another specialised workshop addressing institutional and legal frameworks will tackle the issue of education and training in heritage according to international directions and in light of best practice.
The 3rd edition of the photography award “Crossing Viewpoints: Living Heritage in the Mediterranean” was closed on 31st of July: the number of contributions and the quality of the photographs are beyond our expectations. At the beginning of October we will announce the winner and publish the thirty finalist pictures, which will be shown in an exhibition in Barcelona next December. We take the opportunity to thank all the participants and may the best win!
We also invite you to leaf through the latest edition of our newsletter Connecting n. 5, which focuses on gastronomy and food, an essential aspect of Mediterranean culture.
You can stay up-dated on major cultural heritage within the programme and beyond by clicking on News & Events. You are always welcome to indicate to us information and announcements through our address info@euromedheritage.net
Finally, and as always, we invite you to check out our Photo Gallery, and do not hesitate to be a contributor to this very popular section of our website.
We wish you a good browsing, as always!
