  • Training of trainers for the application of New Technologies in the Cultural Heritage field

    Project title: Unimed
    Short description: The course is addressed to technical persons from public and private sector working in the cultural heritage sector and it is finalised to conservation, restoration and valorisation of cultural heritage. The aim of the course is the acquisition of new technologies for knowledge and management of data and documents in the cultural heritage field, with particular effort to Geographic Information (GI) and Geographic Information System (GIS). The training intends to give to trainers some basic elements for the intelligent knowledge, efficient management and easy fruition through some tools for data storing and cataloguing, monitoring systems, planning and management systems of the cultural heritage.

    Short description: The course was developed around issues related mainly to how new technologies can assist in preserving and promotion cultural heritage through their application, stressing also the need for familiarization of the target groups with innovative procedures and methodologies. It was developed around the following issues:
    Promotion of Cultural Heritage through the use of new technologies
    Presentation of the Euroverde Electronic Mall (an electronic shop, which was created for the promotion of the sales of Agrotourist Women’s Cooperatives products from the entire Greece, ranging from traditional handicrafts to edible items prepared in a traditional way)
    Support of Women’s Entrepreneurship in rural areas
    “Start up your own enterprise” - 10 important steps
