The European Commission has published these guidelines for compulsory use of all contractors and/or implementing partners of EC funded projects. They cover the written and visual identity of the EU and are to be used in briefings, newsletters, press conferences, presentations, invitations, signs, commemorative plaques and all other items used to highlight EU participation.

Implementing the information and communications strategy for the European Union
This communications is based on the report on the qualitative study on the focus of the communication about the EU drafted in January 2004, which confirms the need to structure the Commission’s communication effort around concrete examples reflecting the EU’s policy goals.
